BRU!!!!!
On a side note, the annual Wendell's Pats Trip hits CHI-TOWN for the first time this year. It's hard to imagine that we've been running these trips for over 20 years and haven't made it to Chicago yet (ESPCIALLY since it's Wendell's hometown). In any case, it should be a good time had by all. So far, we have a group of 15 going. (a little small for our average trip, but that's mainly because of the dates). The dates are FRIDAY, December 10th - MONDAY, December 13th. Game is currently scheduled for 12:00PM (local time) on Sunday, December 12th, however, it does fall into the FLEX scheduling week, and very well could be switched to the night game. Airfare is currently running about $250 NONSTOP out of EITHER Providence OR Boston. We currently have a handful of blocked rooms left at the Springhill Suites Downtown right in downtown Chicago on Dearborn St. Nice spot, just minutes from Rush St, Navy Pier, and hundreds of great bars and restaurants. The rooms come with free breakfast and free internet access. They are also Suites which means there is either a King bed and a pull out sofa, or two double beds and a pull out sofa. Hotel is just a few miles from the stadium. With the rates we were given it comes to $412/man for a SINGLE, $258/man for a DOUBLE, and $172/man for a TRIPLE. That is TOTAL cost for the entire weekend (3 nights) and it includes all taxes (which is almost 16% in the Windy City). If anyone is interested, let me know, and I will send you our reservation link. As far as game tickets are concerned, you are on your own. Our group bought ours back in July when they went on sale. We paid $268/ea for CLUB SEATS in section 215. Those were face value off of Ticketmaster. The game is now sold out, so you would either need to scalp or go through an agency. Currently the section we are in are going for between $460-$600 in the reseller's market, so there's a good chance you wouldn't get to actually sit with us unless you wanted to pay big bucks, but there ARE some reasonably priced tickets for other sections still out there. In any case, we have what's left of the rooms until November 1st, then they go back to the hotel. Our rate is about $30 cheaper PER NIGHT than what you can get going directly though the hotel at this point and time. It is OVER a $100 savings.
